Summit Technology Academy/Missouri Innovation Campus

Summit Technology Academy is an innovative and advanced experience that prepares high school juniors and seniors for college and career success through half-day extension programs at the Missouri Innovation Campus. The Missouri Innovation Campus program specifically allows students to earn credit toward collage degrees during high school.

Herndon Career Center

Herndon Career Center is a career and technical high school based out of Raytown C-2 Schools that offers high-quality, in-demand workforce training, college preparation and entrepreneurial programs.

Southland CAPS

Southland CAPS is also housed at Herndon Career Center. The Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) represents the collaboration of education, business and community, providing students with a unique, immersive experience, resulting in highly skilled, adaptable, global innovators and leaders.

Cass Career Center

CASS Career Center is one of Missouri's foremost public career and technical schools serving secondary and adult students. Located in Harrisonville, MO, CCC is noted for consistently producing life-ready graduates prepared to step into various high-quality in-demand workforce training and college degree pathways.

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW

Summit Technology Academy (STA) offers programming for juniors and seniors in the morning (AM program) and afternoon (PM program).
Transportation is provided both to the career center and from the career center, but students may also use their own transportation after APPROVAL by both LSN and STA.
All students will be given AN ID HOLDER indicating that you are a Career Center student. Please have your badge every day.
STA follows the LSR7 school calendar and will be open/closed on all days indicated on the district calendar.
LSN students are not automatically excused from their career center classes for building activities, i.e. pep assemblies, school testing days.
If STA is NOT open on a day when LSN is open, students are free during STA hours (AM/PM)
If LSN is NOT open on a day when STA is open, students must attend STA during their program hours(AM/PM
STUDENT DRIVERS must obtain a parking permit from STA if they plan to be a student driver.
LATE START INFORMATION - When LSR7 schools observe a late start snow day, AM sessions will be cancelled. Bus riders may still report to school and report to the LMC for the AM session hours. PM sessions will start at their regular time and the bus will leave at the normal departure time. (Students may need to leave their class a bit early to catch the bus)

Please read all information below:

Herndon and Southland CAPS offer programming for juniors and seniors in both the morning (AM program) and afternoon (PM program).
Transportation is provided to and from the career center; however, students may use their own transportation after approval by both LSN and Herndon.
All students will be given an ID holder indicating that you are a Career Center student. Please bring your badge every day.
Herndon and CAPS follow a different school calendar and will be open/closed on the days indicated on their district calendar (see calendar link above).
LSN students are not automatically excused from their career center classes for building activities (e.g., pep assemblies, testing days, etc.).
If Herndon/CAPS is not open on a day when LSN is open, students are free during their Herndon/CAPS hours (AM/PM). AM students may come to school for their PM classes only, starting with 4th hour. Bus riders may access the LMC during their normal Herndon/CAPS hours until their PM classes begin.
If LSN is not open on a day when Herndon/CAPS is open, students must attend Herndon/CAPS during their scheduled program hours (AM/PM).
Southland CAPS students must provide their own transportation to their program location (e.g., the zoo or other sites) when their class is not meeting at Herndon. Instructors will provide specific details.
Students may drive themselves to Herndon if they are in good standing with both Herndon and LSN. Herndon will provide information regarding parking permits.
Herndon/CAPS classes do not observe late start Fridays. Buses will operate on the normal schedule, departing LSN at 7:10 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. for PM students. Students are responsible for their own transportation to LSN in order to catch the 7:10 a.m. AM bus.
If LSN has an inclement weather late start Friday and Herndon/CAPS is not in session:
Report to the LMC during your scheduled Herndon/CAPS hours. Please follow LMC procedures (sign in/sign out). If you have a 4th hour learning lab/travel hour, report to Elliott Hall. You may go home if you have transportation during your Herndon/CAPS time.
If LSN has an inclement weather late start Friday and Herndon/CAPS is in session for AM students:
Students who have transportation and feel comfortable driving may attend. Herndon/CAPS will excuse students who do not attend. Buses will not run on two-hour late start days. Students may ride the bus to LSN and report to the LMC until 4th hour begins. Please follow LMC procedures.
If LSN has an inclement weather late start Friday and Herndon/CAPS is in session for PM students:
Students will attend PM programs. Please note that the LSN bell schedule may be adjusted, and you may need to leave class early to catch the bus. Buses will run to and from Herndon/CAPS.
Please check the website and your email at least once a week. Important information will be communicated throughout the school year.

Cass Career Center

First Day of Class – August 18

CASS CAREER CENTER(CCC) offers programming for juniors and seniors in the morning (AM program) and afternoon (PM program).
Transportation is provided to the career center and from the career center, but students may also use their own transportation after APPROVAL by both LSN and CCC.
All students will be given an ID HOLDER indicating that they are a Career Center student. Please have your badge every day.

LSN students are not automatically excused from their career center classes for building activities, i.e. pep assemblies, school testing days, etc.
If HERNDON/CAPS is NOT open on a day when LSN is open, students are free during HERNDON/CAPS hours(AM/PM). AM students may come to school for their PM classes only, starting with 4th hour, OR, if the student is a bus rider, the student can access the LMC during their normal HERNDON/CAPS hours until their PM classes begin.
If LSN is NOT open on a day when CCC is open, students must attend CCC during their program hours(AM/PM)
Students may drive themselves to CCC if they are in good standing to drive with HERNDON AND LSN. CCC will provide information on parking permits.
CCC does not observe late start FRIDAYS. The bus will operate as it does every day from LSN, leaving at 7:10(AM) and 10:45(PM) students. As well, students are responsible for their own transportation to LSN to catch the AM BUS at 7:10.
PM BUS RIDERS - Please be aware that students will need to leave their CCC class at 1:50, as the bus returning to LSN will leave at 1:55!
If LSN has an inclement weather day on late start Friday, AND CCC is NOT in session:
Report to the LMC during the hours you are normally at CCC. Please follow LMC procedures when using the LMC(sign in/sign out) If you have a 4th hour learning lab/travel hour, go to your LL in Elliott Hall. You are welcome to go home if you have transportation when you are normally at HERNDON/CAPS.
If LSN has an inclement weather on late start Friday, AND CCC IS in session for AM students:
If the student has transportation and feels comfortable driving, he/she is welcome to go to their program class. However, HERNDON/CAPS will excuse students who do not come. The buses will NOT be running to and from HERNDON/CAPS on two-hour late start days. AM career center students can ride the bus to school on these days and report to the LMC until fourth hour starts. Please follow LMC procedures!
If LSN has an inclement weather day on late start Friday, AND CCC IS in session for PM students:
Students will attend PM programs. However, please be aware that the LSN BELL schedule will be adjusted and you may need to leave your 4th hour class early to catch the bus. The buses will be running to and from CCC on these days.
